SRINAGAR: India on Saturday reported 5,747 new covid and 29 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the number of active instances exceeded 46,848 instances, representing 0. 11% of the country’s total positive instances.
The recovery of 5,618 patients in the last 24 hours brought the overall cumulative to 4. 39. 53. 374. As a result, the recovery is 98. 71%.
For its part, the positivity rate stands at 1. 69%, while the weekly positivity rate stands at 1. 74%.
Also in the same period, a total of 3,40,211 tests were conducted, bringing the total tally to more than Rs 89. 12 crore.
On Saturday morning, vaccination against covid-19 exceeded Rs 216. 41 crore.
More than 4. 07 million adolescents have won the first dose of the Covid vaccine since the beginning of the crusade for this age group.
As of Friday, they had reported 6,298 infections. (IANS)
