MANILA, Philippines – On Friday, the Ministry of Health recorded 3,379 new cases of coronavirus disease, bringing the country’s number to 122,754.
The metropolitan domain of Manila recorded the number of new instances registered with 1,846, followed by Rizal with 314 instances and Laguna with 276 instances.
Most cases remain benign at 91.4%, while 7.3% are asymptomatic. At least 0.7% are in serious condition, while 0.5% are critical.
85 instances of the total number of instances were removed after DOH validation revealed they were duplicates, while 58 were removed from the number of recoveries and 6 from the number of kills.
In addition, 23 in the last reported cases recovered were validated as deceased and included in the new deaths count, doH reported. [C.A]
