COVID-19 in GCC: 19 more die in Saudi Arabia, five in Oman

Dubai: the total number of COVID-19 cases in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain has increased to 836,540 today, while the death toll is now 8,500.

Kuwait reported 485 new cases of COVID-19 and two more deaths, bringing the total number of infections shown to 138,822 and the total number of deaths to 859, the fitness ministry said.

According to the ministry’s most recent update, there have also been 587 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of other people recovered across the country to 130,426.

Active cases have now affected 7,537, 94 severe cases in resuscitation.

The Ministry of Health has shown detection of 319 new coronaviruses and 19 deaths in Saudi Arabia in the last 24 hours.

Only 174 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Bahrain, bringing the total number of in the Kingdom to 85,182. No new deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, keeping the number of deaths in the Kingdom at 337, the Ministry of Health said in its latest update.

There were 187 COVID19 recoveries, which raised overall recovery to 83,087. New instances were detected after 9,694 PCR tests performed in the last 24 hours. Of the newly detected infections, 6 five are expatriate workers, 104 new instances due to contact with active instances, and five are travel-related.

Lately there are 1,758 active cases, of which 1,744 are stable, 14 in critical condition and 30 in treatment.
