PARIS – The COVID-19 scenario in France is “worrying,” with new cases at record levels, but a momentary wave of infections is “preventable,” Health Minister Olivier Veran said Tuesday.

“The rate of reproduction of the virus is 1. 2, which is a decrease than the point of 3. 2-3. 4 observed in the spring. So the virus is spreading at a lower rate that is circulating, which is worrying,” Veran told Radio France Inter.
