Ghaziabad Work on the Delhi-Meerut Road Assignment (DME) has encountered obstacles, as more than 80 employees of the structure tested positive or quarantined, officials from the Indian National Highway Authority (NHAI) said.

In November last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a review of primary infrastructure projects, ordered that the existing DME project, which will provide faster and safer connectivity between Delhi and Meerut, be completed through the revised May 2020 timetable.December 2015 had laid the foundations for the project.
