Karachi: The emergence of coronavirus has distanced the population of Karachi from the prominent coastal strip in its Clifton district in the case of Eid Al Adha.
Clifton’s cornice is popular with citizens for recreation and picnics, as the city lacks recreational spaces due to years of forgetfulness that have prevented the progression of civic amenities and facilities.
The cornice of Clifton and other beach areas in Karachi also remained closed Eid Al Fitr before this year.
The closure of recreational and entertainment facilities is a component of the remaining lockdown measures that are still in force in the city to slow the spread of COVID-19.
These blocking measures are still being implemented even though infection rates in Sindh province, whose capital is Karachi, have fallen below 4%. On 1 August, the first day of Eid Al Adha in Pakistan, only a COVID-19 died in Sindh in the 24-hour area.
Clifton Bevery one also attracts a lot of revelers every year Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha. The bevery stands out among the migrant staff who came to Karachi from the north of the country.
Deputy Commissioner of Karachi’s Southern District, Irshad Ali Sodhar, said police had been deployed to remove others from Clifton Beach.
He said the beach had been specially closed in Eid to avoid collecting a large number of Karachi residents, as this may pose a serious threat to their fitness due to the emergence of COVID-19.
While acknowledging that the infection rate has decreased particularly in the province, he said beach services would be open as soon as there was no danger of a momentary wave of coronavirus infections.
