COVID-19: Flying from the UAE? These PCRs are cheaper

Dubai: People leaving the United Arab Emirates on certain airlines can now test COVID-19 at less expensive rates, thanks to special packages presented through a health care organization that has partnered with those airlines.

At least 3 airlines, Air Arabia of the United Arab Emirates and Air India of India and its subsidiary Air India Express, have announced their partnership with NMC Healthcare to offer special rates for reverse polymerase chain transcription (RT-PCR) testing for COVID-19.

While a normal PCR check can be performed for 150 dirhams at NMC hospitals and medical centers, home verification costs 190 dirhams.The same verification is proposed for 300 dirhams and more at other fitness services in the United Arab Emirates, some costing 400 dirhams for a home review.

Indian expat R.Suresh, who leaves the United Arab Emirates for being smart on Thursday, said he had discovered that the offer was useful to others like him.

“It’s a big challenge for other people like me who haven’t been paid for a few months,” he told Gulf News.air Arabia, Air India and Air India Express passengers, according to an announcement from NMC Healthcare.

Passengers can go to the nearest NMC to take advantage of the special offer.They must show the ticket price of the aircraft and the identity (Emirates ID or passport) and make the payment before offering the pattern for the test, he said.
