MOSCOW. KAZINFORM – The number of COVID-19 cases in Russia rose from 3,032 on the last day to 2,754 the day before, bringing the total since the beginning of the pandemic to 21,832,768, the coronavirus crisis center reported on Tuesday, TASS reports.
As many as 1,067 more people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia on the last day, up from 441 the previous day (an increase of 142%). The number of hospitalized patients decreased in nine regions and increased in 58, while in 18 regions the figure remained the same.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 recoveries in Russia rose to 5,062 in the past day from 2,990 the previous day, reaching 21,253,611 in total, the coronavirus crisis center told reporters. As many as 47 coronavirus patients have died in Russia in the past day to 41 deaths reported on Monday, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths to 394,168, he added.
COVID-19 cases in Moscow rose to 1,123 from 793 the previous day, reaching 3,310,076, according to the coronavirus crisis center. Sixteen coronavirus patients have died and 1,069 have recovered in the past day, he said. COVID-19 cases in St. Petersburg increased from 304 in the last day to 277 the previous day, for a total of 1,831,719. Fourteen coronavirus patients have died in Russia’s second-largest city in the past 24 hours, and 944 patients have recovered.
