COVID-19: Eight new ones put into service for use in DR disinfection

The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), as a component of its movements since the beginning of the country’s state of emergency by coronavirus, has included 8 new high-tech trucks since last weekend to remove disinfection paints in the Great Santo Domingo and the provinces.

Captain Luis Manuel Féliz José, in rhythm of the institution’s social program, said that the movements will patrol the municipality of Santo Domingo Este, in addition to the operatives carried out since March 19.

The Army official said that on the day of the Minister of Public Works, Ramon Pepon, “on Tuesday they join the operations 8 new sprinkler games.”

He trusted that these operations will continue in the country and will provide assistance to public health, defense through C5I and the Emergency Operations Center.

“These operations will be accentuated day by day by an era of indefinite time; are positioned at 5 p.m. because it’s time for the Pan American Health Organization,” he said.

Likewise, Féliz José stated that these operations are underway and will be carried out to minimize the effect that Covid-19 has caused in the country. Our purpose is to reduce the contagion to its least expression, so we will perform those operations indefinitely,” he said.

A note from the MOPC Press and Communications Directorate notes that this generation is the same that was used through the government of the People’s Republic of China, in Wuhan City, to combat the pandemic. Wuhan is the city where the first cases of coronavirus carriers were detected.
