Cairo: After recovering from the coronavirus, an Egyptian doctor said he was suffering from the disease for the time a few weeks later, Egyptian media reported today.
In May, Dr. Ahmed Hah, director of a state fever hospital in the damanhur Delta province, affected by the virus, but was still recovering in June.
He said he suffered more severe symptoms of the disease at the time compared to the former. This is contrary to the view that other people recovering from COVID-19 produce antibodies that help protect them from infection at the moment.
Dr Hawash said recovery from the virus gives immunity for 45 to 60 days and warned those who had beaten the virus could yet be infected again.
Egypt is the most populous country in the Arab world and has reported a total of 98,078 cases and 4,399 deaths, but has recently noticed a decrease in virus rates.
