Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf said the measure is being implemented due to a “significant accumulation of cases” in all 4 countries.
The new quarantine rules go into effect at 04:00 on Saturday.
In weeks, Portugal, Greece and Hungary have also been added to Scotland’s quarantine list.
A list of countries exempt from these regulations can be found on the Scottish Government website.
Yousaf said: “The advent of quarantine needs for others arriving in the UK from parts of the world is a key line of defense in our efforts to suppress the spread of the virus.
“Managing the threat of loading community instances with the highest transmission threat is important in our efforts to achieve this.
“The recommendation remains that other people think very seriously before embarking on non-essential trips abroad. We are in the midst of a global pandemic and the scenario in many countries can suddenly replace. “
