Cairo: The city government closed a place to eat in southwestern Saudi Arabia after two of its patients tested positive for coronavirus. The goal of the shutdown is to stop the spread of the virus in the realm, according to media reports.
The municipality of Muhayil Governorate in the Asir region said the closure was a precautionary measure until all staff at the place to eat were examined after contact with the other two people inflamed with the virus.
The local government is committed to closing businesses that comply with the rules of fitness.
“We will not hesitate to close any status quo that does not comply with the implementing protocols established through the Ministry of Health and other applicable agencies,” said Muhayil Municipality Chief Saeed Bin Ali.
While easing several barriers induced by the virus in recent weeks, Saudi Arabia has warned that it opposes violating measures to involve the highly contagious disease, adding respect for social distance, mandatory wearing of a protective mask, and a ban on giant meetings.
The kingdom has recorded a total of 293,037 cases of viruses and 3,269 similar deaths.
