The hospital officially failed on Monday

Chittagong’s cash hospital, the first of its kind in the country, to close its operations while the participation rate of Covid-19 patients fell to zero.

The hospital officially failed on Monday.

However, the hospital’s leading initiator, Dr. Bidduth Barua, said they were setting up a full hospital in the same location.

To provide remedy to coronavirus patients, the facility began operating on April 21 with 60 beds in the Faujdarhat region under Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong.

Dr. Barua said the facility had been closed due to the participation rate of 0 patients and that the case had been officially notified to all relevant authorities.

Up to 35 health workers, adding doctors, nurses and hospital volunteers provided to patients in the last 4 months.

The Navana Group provided land to Faujdarhat of Sitakunda upazila for the hospital box, a place selected for its proximity to the Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID).

As of August 31, 12644 more people have recovered from fatal viral disease.

Of these, another 2,857 people recovered the remedy in other hospitals, while another 9787 people recovered in home isolation.The overall recovery rate to date is 74.14%.

As of August 31, a total of 270 other people had died from the infectious disease, bringing the overall mortality rate to 1.51%.

On April 3, Chittagong recorded the first case of Covid-19, while the district surpassed 3,000 coronavirus cases on June 2. Chittagong crossed the 6000 mark on June 19 and the 10,000 mark on July 6.

On July 16, the number of instances in Covid-19 exceeded the mark of 12,000.
