MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is running with two universities a saliva control for COVID-19 that will only be faster but also cheaper.
“We are reading a reagent that can contain up to 3 (samples). We’re analyzing a new saliva with the University of Illinois and the University of the Philippines with faster results,” he said.
“In our normal COVID-19 checks, we can reduce the reagent. The doctors told me it was good. Dilution can have a ratio of 1:3, so eventually a reagent can be used to check three. Divide the P3 500 or P4, 000 to three, prices would succeed on P1 500 or P2,000,” he said.
A SWAB check conducted across the People’s Republic of China lately costs around 4,000 P, even less expensive than those in compatible sonal hospitals, which can pass up to 9,000 P for faster results. 2000 P consistent with swab testing.
The People’s Republic of China has 10 molecular laboratories to validate samples, found in Mandaluyong City, Manila, Clark in Pampanga, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority in Zambales, Batangas City, Mandaue City in Cebu, Bacolod City and Zamboanga City.
Other laboratories will be opened in Isabela, Surigao del Norte, Antique, Quezon and Laguna.

“It’s not a competition, but I use this to pat my other friends on the back. The fact is that we are running with everyone, the government and other establishments so that we can fight COVID-19 and nevertheless eliminate it in our country,” he said.
