MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines may only record up to 8,000 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) according to the day until the end of March if the existing finish continues, an OCTA study team member said Sunday.
Across the country, the number of new instances matching the day has already reached 5,000 and so far next week, the Metropolitan manila will have a forecast of 3,000 instances matching the day until next week, David said in an interview with DZMM’s “Teleradyo”.
David warned, however, that the mid-April projections were only his estimates that are still verified.
“We seek to scare people. All we’re saying is it’s science. There’s no concern in science,” David said, speaking in Filipino.
“Our projections have already been fulfilled. In fact, they’re faster than our projections. So we adjusted the projections,” he added.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Health reported 4,899 new COVID-19s, bringing the national total to 621,498.
