Covid-19 booster shots are for other people in at-risk groups

All Swedish regions have started their autumn vaccination campaigns against Covid-19.

The vaccine has been updated to provide greater coverage against new variants of the virus. People who are 65 years of age or older or who are in other threat categories are encouraged to get vaccinated.

People who don’t belong to a threatening organization can also get a booster shot, but state epidemiologist Magnus Gisslén urges them to wait so people at higher risk can get vaccinated first.
