Cairo: Bahrain maintains a ban in Iran and Iraq due to an increase in coronavirus in that country, an aviation official said.
“Destination restrictions are approved through the relevant agencies in the Kingdom of Bahrain in accordance with fitness precautions to combat the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mohammed Al Kabi, a civil aviation officer at the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications, told Bahrain’s Al Watan newspaper. .
His comments came after several passengers were not allowed to travel to Iraq to commemorate the annual anniversary marking the 40th day of the death of the grandson of the prophet Mohammed Al Hussain in Karbala.
Passengers were informed of a transitional ban in Iraq due to the accumulation of viral infections. The organizers of the blocked trips promised to return cash to passengers. Other tour operators reported that they had suspended their activities to protect public health due to the COVID-19 Outbreak. Bahrain has also suspended Iran until it becomes additionally accounted for as an aptitude measure against the spread of the highly infectious disease.
