Prosecutors had argued that such comments can lead to Jews in Germany becoming the target of hatred.
The judges also said Bhakdi’s claims that the COVID vaccine component of a Holocaust moment did not constitute a minimization of the Nazi genocide that killed 6 million Jews, state broadcaster NDR reported.
Bhakdi, who waved through dozens of supporters as he arrived at the court, could have been fined had he been convicted.
The decision could be appealed.
