Coronavirus infections in India continue to progress, and the country adds at least one lakh of new instances every other day.
India added more than 60,000 instances in 24 hours, bringing the total to 23.2 lakh in the world’s most inflamed third country, according to the Ministry of Health’s update at 8am on 11 August. This includes more than 46,000 deaths and more than 16.3. lakh patients who have recovered.
This is the fifth time India has reported more than 60,000 cases a day.
This comes at a time when the country’s Ministry of Health is looking to convince the public of the good fortunes of the government in managing the Covid-19 crisis. Effective clinical control of coronavirus instances has resulted in an increase in the cure rate to nearly 70%, while the jurisprudence rate has fallen below 2% for the first time since the blockade imposed on March 25, the Ministry of Health announced Tuesday. .
At a press conference, EU Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said Covid-19’s assets, representing 88.83% of the total number as of March 31, have fallen to 28.21% to date.

Karnataka’s former lead minister, Siddaramaiah, who is being treated for a Covid-19 infection at a personal hospital here, tested negative and will be discharged tomorrow, announced his workplace wednesday.
The leader of the opposition to the state meeting has “fully recovered,” according to a statement. He said: “According to the doctors, the throat removal and blood test performed at the moment, negative.”
The 71-year-old chef was admitted to Manipal Hospital on August 4. Siddaramaiah had a fever only for the first two days, unless he had no symptoms of the infection. “Doctors said Siddaramaiah would leave the hospital tomorrow,” he added.
His son and Varuna congressman, Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah, tested positive for Covid-19 on August 7. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, who is also being treated for an infection with Covid at the same hospital in Manipal, discharged the Monday after his recovery, is recently in self-quarantine at home.

Nearly 51% of the excess amount charged by hospitals from Covid-19 patients has been refunded by the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation in Maharashtra, the civic body said on Wednesday.
Following complaints of overcharging, KDMC Commissioner Dr Vijay Suryavanshi ordered an audit of all hospitals within the civic limits treating Covid-19 patients.
The audit found that no fewer than 15 hospitals in the Kalyan and Dombivli regions charged an excess of 31.45 lakh rupees to patients who had obtained a medical remedy there.
The company has issued justification notices to those hospitals and recovered from them 16.15 lakh rupees that reimbursed the affected patients, KDMC said in a statement.
The city corporation also stated that it had issued a justification to a personal hospital in Kalyan for violating the 80% patient beds reservation commandos and constant rates for treatment.

Two other people from Muzaffarnagar died from COVID-19, raising the number of residents in the district to 22, and 43 new cases of infection were detected here, authorities said Wednesday.
A woguy from the city of Gandhinagar and a boy from the colony of Gandhi were taken to a hospital in Meerut, where they died Tuesday night, said lead physician Praveen Chopda.
Forty-three others, along with 14 inmates at the district prison, took the Covid-19 test on Tuesday, authorities said, adding that the number of active instances in the district is now 236.

Rajasthan Royals coach Dishant Yagnik tried Covid-19, the IPL franchise announced Wednesday, days before leaving for the United Arab Emirates to compete in the lucrative leagues.
The Indian Premier League edition will take place in the United Arab Emirates from 19 September to 10 November.
“The Rajasthan Royals would like to say that their coach on the pitch, Dishant Yagnik, has tested positive for Covid-19,” the franchise said in a statement. “The check carried out taking into account that the team members are scheduled to meet in Mumbai next week for their flight to the United Arab Emirates.
“The franchise has put in place additional control for all players, staff and control travelling to the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the two controls advised through the BCCI, to ensure the most physically powerful procedure possible.”
Yagnik is lately in his Udaipur and has been invited to be admitted to the hospital for mandatory 14-day quarantine.
