Provincial aptitude announced that there were 49 new cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba.
The announcement was made through Dr. Brent Roussin, the province’s health director, on Monday afternoon.
The province said of the new cases, 25 on Monday and 24 on Sunday, August 23.
With the 24 more cases on Sunday, fitness is adjusting Sunday’s figures to 96 cases.
Manitoba has recorded 993 cases since early March.
Of the new cases, 35 are from the Prairie Mountain Health Region, two from the Interlake-Eastern Health Region, 4 from the Southern Health Region and 8 from the Winnipeg Health Region.
Roussin stated that most cases in Prairie Mountain Health are similar to those intentionally similar to known groups in areas of community living.
There has been “substantial evidence” in those areas.
“Especially from the weekend results, we are cellular tests, where we went to communities for testing. So we did a lot of tests, and then they met a significant number of cases through that,” Roussin said.
He said 31 of the instances announced on Monday were similar to the communal communities in the province, that some investigations were still underway.
Roussin added that since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been a total of 236 instances similar to networked communities, and 148 of those instances are active. He said they’re scattered all over the province, only Prairie Mountain Health.
Lately there are six other people in the hospital, one of whom is in intensive care.
There are 395 active instances and another 586 people have recovered from COVID-19.
The toll is kept at 12 o’s.
1,544 tests were conducted on Sunday, bringing the total number of tests to 127,149 since early February.
The current five-day positivity is 2.9%.
Roussin also informs the public of an exhibition to COVID-19.
This happened at Safeway Corral Center, at 921 18th Street North in Brandon. It happened on August 15 beginning at 2 p.m. 6 p.m. August 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. August 19 from 2pm. 4:45 p.m.
Roussin said the threat of transmission is low and that other people are tested if symptoms appear.
A new network test will open in Winnipeg starting Tuesday at 2735 Pembina Hwy.
He will be open without an appointment and will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week.
This will close the Access Fort Garry verification. It will close at 4:00 p.m. Monday.
The Drive-Thru community test site at Portage Los Angeles Prairie at 245 Royal Road. is out of plos angelesce.
The existing one will close on August 26 and reopen on Portage Avenue and 5th Street SE on August 27.
It will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Roussin reminded the inhabitants of Manitoba that they should be tested unless they have symptoms of COVID-19.
