An employee of the Czorny Alzheimer Center in Surrey tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the physical fitness authority to send approximately 500 to the long-term care home to respond.
The staff member is edested at home and citizens and the family circle are informed of the case, according to Fraser Health.
“Fraser Health has also deployed more than 480 people, adding caregivers and our immediate reaction groups that come with clinical nurses, infection prevention and control experts, screening officers and quality patient care officials who support family communication and on-site symptom assessment,” according to one of the fitness authority.
The 72-bed Czorny Alzheimer’s Center is owned and operated through Fraser Health and provides long-term care for others with dementia.
Residents live in “six circles of relatives living in cottages” to provide “psychological safety and comfort.”
