In a “historic global achievement,” India has outperformed the United States and become the leading country in terms of COVID-19 recovery, the EU Ministry of Health said on 19 September.
India has reported the number of recoveries with 42. 08 patients with COVID-19 lakh to date, bringing the national healing rate to almost 80%. The case rate was reduced to more than 1. 61%, the ministry said.
“India now accounts for nearly 19% of overall recoveries. This has drastically boosted the national recovery rate to 79. 28%,” he said.

A record 95,880 patients recovered from COVID-19 in 24 hours, with 90% of new recoveries reported in 16 EU states and territories, according to the ministry’s knowledge updated at 8 a. m.

The country has a legal and rational use of “experimental therapies” such as Remdesevir, convalescence plasma and tocilizumab and has followed measures such as pronation, high-performance oxygen use, non-invasive ventilation, steroid use and anticoagulants to aid in the recovery of COVID patients.
