The count of the new coronavirus in India crossed 36 lakh on Monday with 78512 new cases, while the number of cures rose to 27,74801, bringing the recovery rate to 76. 62%, the Ministry of Health said.

Ten deaths were reported in Pondicherry, nine in Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana, seven in Assam, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand and Kerala, five in Goa and Tripura, two in Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh, one on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Out of a total of 64,469 deaths, Maharashtra reported a maximum of 24,399 in a row through 7231 in Tamil Nadu, 5589 in Karnataka, 4426 in Delhi, 3884 in Andhra Pradesh, 3423 in Uttar Pradesh, 3176 in West Bengal, 3006 in Gujarat and 1404 others people died in Punjab.
So far, 1374 have died in Madhya Pradesh, 1043 in Rajasthan, 827 in Telangana, 694 in Jammu and Kashmir, 682 in Haryana, 578 in Bihar, 482 in Odisha, 410 in Jharkhand, 296 in Assam, 287 in Kerala, 269 in Chhattisgarh, 257 in Uttarakhand, 221 in Pondicherry, 183 in Goa, 103 in Tripura, 52 in Chandigarh, forty-five in Andaman and Nicobar , 35 in Himachal Pradesh.
Ladakh recorded 4 cases, Manipur 28, Meghalaya 10, Nagaland 9, Arunachal Pradesh 7, Sikkim and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu two.
The Ministry of Health noted that more than 70% of deaths are due to comorities.
“Our figures are being reconciled with the Indian Medical Research Council,” the ministry said, adding that the distribution of figures across the state is a matter of verification and reconciliation.
