Another date when other Cactus Club people on Water Street may have been exposed to the COVID-19 known through Interior Health.

People who were at the Cactus Club Bar, 1-1370 Water Street, between 5pm. and on August 8, they are asked to be monitored intensively for symptoms of COVID-19 and to be tested if they begin to show symptoms.

“The search for public fitness contacts is continuous and, if possible, (Inner Health) is directly directed at those who have been exposed,” a press release from the fitness authorities reads. “People looking for a check call their number one care provider (family doctor or nurse) or the nearest Interior Health network assessment and verification center.”

In the Inner Health Region, there are now 161 Kelowna-related since June 26 – 12 of the 161 are active and isolated.

Early in the day, August 11, the fitness authority announced the closure of Kelowna’s transitority verification site, which opened on August 4 at the Doyle Avenue Community Health Services Center. It was opened in reaction to the largest number of COVID-19 cases in Kelowna among other young people living, socializing and painting in the center.

Interior Health is intended to have open only a few weeks with an extension if needed. In that announcement, they said Kelowna had 158 instances, which showed no new instances for several days.

The COVID-19 check will continue to be presented at the Indoor Health Assessment and Testing Center at the Kelowna Primary Care and Emergency Center on Harvey Avenue, by appointment from 9:30 am to 8:30 p.m., seven days a week for others with Array symptoms according to an Interior Health press release. Appointments are mandatory and can be made by phone at 250-469-6985.
