The United Arab Emirates has prolonged the era of grace for offenders for 3 months, adding exemptions from fines, the Federal Identity and Citizenship Authority (ICA) announced on Sunday night, in the most recent measures similar to the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
“The extension of the grace age extends from August 18 to November 17 and includes all offenders whose visas expired before March 1,” said Major General Saeed Rakan al-Rashidi, ACI’s Director General of Foreign Affairs and Ports, according to a statement issued through the WAM Emirates news agency.
Al-Rashidi that this “generous initiative” will cover all violators of the Entry and Residence Act, taking into account the exceptional cases caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

He said all criminals would be barred from entering the United Arab Emirates while leaving the country.
