Coronavirus: UAE reports COVID-19 cases since May with 883 infections, 2 deaths

The UAE reported a surge in coronavirus instances with 883 new infections detected on Wednesday, fitness officials said on Twitter, amid fears the country is experiencing a momentary wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The accumulation marks the largest one-day accumulation in COVID-19 instances since May, and the fourth on record, after May 19, 20 and 21 at the peak of the first wave of the pandemic.

The Health Department reported two new deaths from COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 393.
