Coronavirus: UAE reports 1398 new COVID-19 after 114147 tests

The United Arab Emirates has shown 1,398 new cases of coronavirus after conducting another 114147 tests in more than 24 hours, the Ministry of Health announced Thursday.

Two COVID-19-related deaths were also reported, while another 1,666 people who had already tested positive for the virus have recovered.

The United Arab Emirates recorded its greatest accumulation on Wednesday after 1,431 new instances of COVID-19 were reported over a 24-hour period.

As of October 15, the Ministry of Health had shown 111,437 cases, 103,325 cures and deaths, according to the official WAM news agency.

Health officials continue to urge others to adhere to coronavirus prevention measures, adding that they wear a face mask and socially distance themselves, in a bid to slow the spread of the virus after the recent spike in infections. .
