The United Arab Emirates has detected 1,209 new coronaviruses, bringing the total number of infections shown in the country to 151554, the Ministry of Health and Prevention announced monday.

The new infections were recorded after 84154 coronavirus tests were performed across the country. The United Arab Emirates surpassed the mark of 150,000 on Sunday after reporting 1210 new cases. The country has been dealing with an outbreak of infections since early October.
Four other people died as a result of the headaches caused by COVID-19, bringing the number of deaths similar to the virus to 534.
Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries increased to 143,932 after another 680 people recovered.
