The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention on Saturday reported 431 cases of Covid-19 coronavirus, including 410 recoveries and no deaths.
With Covid restrictions eased and masks becoming optional in most public spaces across the country, more citizens are expected to eat food outside their homes.
In a survey, more than a fraction of Dubai’s citizens (52%) said they dine out up to 3 times a week. Respondents also rated the emirate as the world’s most sensible food hub, ahead of London and New York.
Meanwhile, face masks are no longer mandatory in UAE public spaces. These come with schools, grocery shopping, and grocery stores.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has shown that wearing a face mask is mandatory in personal schools, early training centers, universities and educational institutes in Dubai.
However, they are mandatory on school buses, Khaleej Times learned. In a notice, STS Group, a school transportation service operator, told parents that face coverings are mandatory for school bus students and “our workers until further updates are provided. “
Students also showed that their bus supervisors asked them to wear masks as they commuted to and from school on Wednesday.
