The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention on Wednesday reported 299 cases of Covid-19 coronavirus, including 308 recoveries and no deaths.
From the augmented reality of education staff to the dashboard given to the UAE through the Covid-19 pandemic, generation and synthetic intelligence are at the heart of the Dubai International Conference on Food Security (DIFSC). “Newer technological inventions and more productive practices in implementing food policies is key to achieving regional and global food security,” said Dawood Abdul Rahman Al-Hajiri, Director General of Dubai Municipality (DM).
DM now uses AR, wearable technology and the metaverse to exercise its officials before sending them into the field. In addition to training them on how to put out a fire, the AR program also teaches them how to use a thermometer to check if meat is cooked well and how to take good care of food preparation.
Held under the theme “Future Directions in Food Safety,” the three-day convention will talk about methods to maintain the highest standards of food protection, adding the importance of implementing cutting-edge technologies in the supply chain.
The same data-driven dashboard and synthetic intelligence that played a pivotal role in Dubai’s passage through the pandemic was also used to track food safety this time. This was revealed through Aysha Ibrahim AlAwadhi from Dubai Municipality.
