Apple and Google’s new contract tracking software is already up and running, but its use is widespread. They only work in conjunction with official state apps, and most states are still participating.
USA TODAY discovered 14 states with contract tracking programs at Apple and Google app stores: New Jersey, New York, Arizona, North Carolina, Florida, Delaware, Virginia, Nevada, North and South Dakota, Wyoming, Alabama, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania. new York and New Jersey have just been launched.
Some states are lately testing the software before deciding to move on. Arizona and California, for example, are testing it lately. “The purpose of the pilot assignment is for the state, along with local fitness entities and educational partners, to improve the effectiveness of the application,” dr. Erica Pan, acting public health civil service staff in the state of California.
Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Oregon, Washington, and Washington, D. C. , have announced plans to release their apps to Google.
Meanwhile, several countries have taken over Apple/Google software to create their own touch search apps, the UK, Australia, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
The concept is that the Bluetooth signal from the phones sends signals to other users of the applications. If you are diagnosed with positive COVID and tell the app, messages are sent to everyone you’ve come into contact with. “If you’ve been exposed, your app will inform you and give you more instructions,” says Google.
The New York app, for example, says you should “contribute to the fitness and protection of your network by alerting others if you test yourself positive, without revealing your identity to anyone. “
The ability to use Apple and Google software is built into iOS and Google mobile operating systems, it’s through subscription and you want to search for it (instructions on how to locate them below).
As Google points out, “you must use the system”, which sends random conversion identifiers that are alerted every 10 minutes to and from phones anonymously.
“If you’ve been exposed, your public fitness authority can inform you,” Apple says.
Here’s how to make the signal.
On iOS:
In the iOS 14 update, go to Settings:
Look for exposure notifications, which are between the emergency SOS and the battery, and then click “Enable Exposure Notifications”. Once clicked, Apple says, “your public fitness authority will possibly inform you about the imaginable exposure to COVID-19. “
Then your country and state. But if the state doesn’t participate, it won’t go far. “Exposure notifications haven’t been turned on for your area,” Apple tells others who live in states that don’t work with the system.
For Google Android
Open Configuration:
Tap Google and search for “COVID-19 Exposure Notifications”.
On.
Look for an app to upload from the App Store to search for “Exposure Notifications” and a badge that looks like a red mini coronavirus.
Google says “location” should be enabled and approved for all Android apps, which is the tool it uses to allow Google to stay with you, even if the Google app isn’t running, through tours, walks, and searches.
However, Google insists that government agencies cannot “deduce” their location when apps.
