The number of new coronavirus cases in Turkey exceeded 2000 on Monday, reaching the degrees last noticed in early May, when restrictions were applied to businesses and families.
Data from the Ministry of Health showed that another 2026 people with SYMPTOMS of COVID-19 had been diagnosed, and Ankara reported only symptomatic cases.

The ministry replaced the drafting of its reports from “cases” to “patients” on 29 July. Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said the count only includes those with symptoms.
The ministry had previously said that 1,958 patients had been diagnosed on Monday, but then updated the data.
There were 2253 on May 6.
The total number of patients is 349,519 on Monday, according to data.
Knowledge also showed that another 75 people had died in the last 24 hours, also the highest point since early May, bringing the total death toll to 9,371.
Turkey imposed long-distance and limited closed restaurants and cafes before this year to stop the spread of the virus.
Almost all restrictions were lifted in June. Since then, the government has imposed measures such as social estinement and masking, and imposed fines on those who violate the rules.
Turkey’s main medical agreement and the main opposition party have criticized the government’s resolve to reveal the number of symptomatic patients.
