Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia’s CDC launches national COVID-19 data register

The Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) in Saudi Arabia has introduced a national coronavirus registry to gather knowledge about COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom, official SPA news firm reported Thursday.

The registry will collect statistical knowledge about coronavirus-infected patients in the kingdom to assist in clinical research and studies on coronavirus disease, i.e. in clinical trials on the efficacy of medicines and treatment protocols, SPA added.

“A national registry is an effective public aptitude tool for disease prevention and includes prevention and early detection systems and reaction systems. In particular, the records help expand efforts to monitor the spread of the disease, protect high-risk equipment, and fitness facilities.” SPA reported.

Saudi Arabia reported that 260394 showed coronavirus, 213,490 recovered patients and 2,635 deaths on Thursday to the Ministry of Health.
