Quebec reported 176 new COVID-19 infections on Wednesday, bringing the provincial total to 59,073 since the start of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Ontario reported its smallest buildup since March with 76 new cases, reinforcing Quebec’s position as the epicentre of the pandemic in Canada.
The average number of new instances in Quebec over the past seven days is 162, according to provincial figures.
Several outbreaks have been reported throughout the province, adding a day camp in Boucherville on the south coast, where 27 young people tested positive for COVID-19.
The regional fitness authority of the Montérégie regions says the epidemic at L’Atelier de Charlot, the snail, began on 20 July. Please note that the camp will be closed until 7 August.
On Tuesday, the Quebec City fitness government took care of a personal nursing home following an on-site COVID-19 outbreak.

The inauguration took place on the same day that the province’s Minister of Majors, Marguerite Blais, announced an investigation into the Auberge aux Trois Pignons in Beauport district.
Despite outbreaks throughout the province, the number of patients requiring hospitalization remains less than two hundred with a total of 190 -3 less than Tuesday.
Nine patients are in resuscitation, for the formation of one.
The number of victims remains unchanged at 5,670, and no new s of the virus was reported.
The health government says 13,119 tests were conducted on July 27, the last day of which figures are available, bringing the total to 1,186,036.
Quebec reports that another 50,886 people have recovered from the disease.
