Pakistan has noticed an 80% drop in coronavirus deaths, but is on an increase in new cases after the upcoming Eid al-Adha festival, a government fitness official said Sunday.
According to government data, Pakistan experienced a spike in virus deaths consistent with the day at around 150 in June. On Saturday, 24 new deaths were reported the day before.

Zafar Mirza, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s senior fitness adviser, told reporters that about six percent of those analyzed tested tested tested tested positive for coronavirus.

In total, Pakistan has recorded more than 270,000 cases, totaling around 5,800 deaths.
