Coronavirus: Nizamuddin’s Tablighi Jamaat has doubled in India

NEW DELHI: The government said on Sunday that Tablighi Jamaat, a congregation organized in mid-March in Delhi’s Nizamuddin region, has particularly contributed to the doubling of coronavirus (covid-19) cases in India.

Previously, the number of shows had doubled on average in about 7. 4 days, and the occasion had doubled them in 4. 1 days.

“The doubling rate of covid-19 cases in India is lately 4. 1 days. This is due to the Tablighi Jamaat, more cases are now being reported. If this occasion had happened, the doubling rate would have been 7. 4 days,” Lav Agarwal, the co-secretary of the Ministry of Health said on Sunday.

The government also said a total of 3,374 more people have tested positive for the deadly virus in India.

“472 new cases have been reported since yesterday. A total of 79 deaths have been reported, with 11 more deaths in the past 24 hours. A total of 267 people have recovered so far,” Agarwal said.

The number of Covid-19 cases continues to rise in Andhra Pradesh, with 26 more people testing positive. The total number of cases in the state now stands at 226, with the Nellore district reporting the number to be 34.

At least 29 other people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Mumbai, bringing the total number to 690 in Maharashtra, the state’s health minister, Rajesh Tope, said. Therefore, 406 cases have been reported in Mumbai alone, he said.

The government has relaxed considerations about the spread of the virus through the air, saying that the infection is transmitted through droplets that are released when a patient with covid-19 coughs, sneezes and breathes.

“Coronavirus infection is not yet airborne through droplets. If it were an airborne infection, all family members of an inflamed user would have contracted the virus, as they would all have breathed in the inflamed air of the inflamed family. “The same would apply to other patients in a hospital. In some cases, scientists have discovered it in certain settings,” said Raman R Gangakhedkar, head of epidemiology and communicable diseases at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

“We depend on clinical evidence. Worldwide there are more than millions of cases of Covid-19, but there is no such evidence,” he said.

The government also said there are shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE) and N95 masks.

National brands began to produce and the government began to buy them from other countries.

“We have discussed this with all health secretaries, chief secretaries and deputy ministers because it is one of the major issues. We explained to them that the PPE we had had already been sent without delay to the states based on the number of cases,” Agarwal said.

“We want to perceive that we make allocations based on the number of cases reported in the states. At the same time, we are also looking at how to increase purchases. It has started to soften, in the coming weeks we will be able to manage those problems to a large extent,” he added.
