A new coronavirus pandemic has killed more than 899,000 people around the world.
More than 27. 6 million people internationally have been diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease caused by the new respiratory virus, according to knowledge compiled through Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering. Diagnostic criteria, through clinical means or laboratory control, vary from country to country. Even so, the actual figures are believed to be much higher due to lack of verification, un informed bodies, and suspicions that some national governments are hiding or minimizing the scope of their outbreaks.
Since the first cases were detected in China in December, the virus has spread to all continents except Antarctica.
The United States is the most affected country, with more than 6. 3 million diagnosed and at least 190,478 deaths.
California has the highest instances of any US state, with more than 746,000 people diagnosed, according to Johns Hopkins knowledge. It follows California through Texas and Florida, with more than 663,000 instances and more than 652,000 instances, respectively.
Nearly 170 COVID-19 vaccine applicants are being tracked through the World Health Organization, at least six of whom are in phase 3 trials.
In New York, once it was the epicenter of the pandemic in the United States, dinner will likely resume on September 30 to 25% of its capacity, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday.
Tables should be 6 feet apart, Cuomo said, and at least one diner in each organization leaves tactile feedback.
The governor has asked New Yorkers to report any place to eat that violates the 25% capacity rule.
If there is an increase in the infection rate, the city can “hit the emergency pause button,” Cuomo said.
If the infection rate doesn’t increase, “we can rethly think about the rules from 25% to 50%,” he said.
November 1 was set as a reference date to increase indoor capacity to 50%, he said.
The Ministry of Health and Human Services will allow licensed pharmacists to administer COVID-19 vaccines to children 3 years and older when or if a vaccine is available, Surgeon General Jerome Adams announced Wednesday.
In August, the Department of Health and Human Services said pharmacists would be allowed to provide regimen vaccines for young people, fearing that young people would call on their doctors during the pandemic.
But the American Academy of Pediatrics called the ruling “incredibly wrong,” saying young people would not receive the same point of care from a pharmacist as they would from pediatricians. The American Academy of Pediatrics holds that medical offices are open and safe.

The University of Miami, Ohio reported 159 new cases of the coronavirus over Labor Day weekend, bringing the university’s total number of cases to 1,037 in the past two weeks, according to a dashboard.
Over the long weekend, six University of Miami academics were cited for violating the city’s Grand Gatherings Ordinance, reported WCPO, an ABC Cincinnati affiliate.
The academics told police that they had tested for COVID-19 and were destined to be quarantined, WCPO reported.

The fitness branch said it was too difficult to socially distance yourself with tips or door-to-door treatments.
Parties, enchanted spaces and the “box or treat” are also not allowed, when young people move from one car to another from one space to another.
Car parades, space locker rooms and Halloween-themed meals are allowed in restaurants, the fitness ministry said.
