Dubai has fined 721 swimmers for violating coronavirus precautions, Dubai police announced Tuesday.
Colonel Saeed al-Madhani, director of Dubai’s port police station, the 721 offences and fines occurred between March and 20 September.

He added: “Dubai police do not tolerate anyone who violates coronavirus-related precautionary measures on beaches to members of society and saves them from spreading the disease. “
Al-Madhani said police use, in addition to normal patrols, drones equipped with cameras to take public protective precautions.
Dubai municipality precautionary measures for public beaches include: maintaining a distance of two metres from other people and a distance of 4 meters between all other people’s equipment, restricting beach equipment to up to five other people, and mandatory mask clothing for all visitors, adding children.
The United Arab Emirates reported 852 new coronaviruses and 939 newly recovered patients in the last 24 hours.
