Coronavirus: Kuwait resumes from 1 August, excluding Iran, India, among others

Kuwait will lift the ban on foreigners and allow its citizens to enter and leave the country from 1 August, excluding some countries, the Government Communication Centre (GCC) announced Thursday.

“Citizens of the country can enter and leave Kuwait, with the exception of citizens of Bangladesh, the Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Iran and Nepal,” the GCC said in a tweet.

Kuwait had suspended all commercial flights to and from Kuwait International Airport in mid-March as part of the government’s efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The country’s death toll is 65,903, showing cases of coronavirus, 56,467 cures and 444 deaths on Wednesday, to the Ministry of Health.
