Brihanmumbai municipality did not pay the salaries of 144 nurses lately for COVID-19 in the coronavirus in Mumbai.
The 144 young service nurses who opposed coronaviruses were expected to earn a daily allocation of three hundred rupees to paint in COVID-19 with their salaries. All BMC staff at COVID-19 are expected to get the assignment, however, those nurses stated that they had not been paid at all since they were hired in May.
These newly hired coronavirus nurses paint approximately 8 hours a day. Most of them are between 26 and 28 years old and have been housed in hostels or BMC accommodations, Mumbai Mirror reported.
An India Today report says they have already written to the Mumbai Civic Corps asking for an explanation of the nature of their employment (whether permanent or contractual) and also their fees.
The Mazdoor Municipal Union reported that these nurses had not yet won their letters of appointment from the BMC. They had implemented for a task in 2018 and won a BMC call in May 2020 asking them to submit their non-public documents for verification. The civic corps would not have been able to formalize his appointment because his caste documents want to be reviewed because there are caste reservations in the tasks.
Pradeep Narkar, secretary of the Mazdoor Municipal Union, said: “Nurses have left their jobs in a personal hospital and have joined BMC centres in the hope of permanent employment. For 3 months they were in other COVID-19 care centers. It’s not your fault that BMC hasn’t been able to verify your documents. We met and discussed the factor with the city’s mayor, Kishori Pednekar, and she promised to take a look at it.
