Coronavirus in India today: Five new Covid deaths have been recorded in the country and 602 new viruses, the Ministry of Public Health reported on Wednesday. The number of active infections has been recorded at 4,440.
While two new deaths were recorded in Kerala, one each was reported in Karnataka, Punjab and Tamil Nadu, according to ministry data updated at 8 am.
In Kerala, one of the deceased was a 66-year-old man suffering from chronic liver disease, multi-organ disorder syndrome and sepsis, while the other was a 79-year-old woman suffering from coronary artery disease and sepsis.
