With 2,401 new cases, the number of COVID-19 cases in India rose to 4. 46, 28,828, while the number of active cases of infection rose to 26,625, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.
The number of deaths from the viral disease rose to 528,895 with 21 more deaths, 16 of which were reconciled in Kerala, according to ministry data updated at 8 a. m.
Active instances account for 0. 06% of the total number of instances, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate increased to 98. 76%, the ministry said.
An increase of seven recorded cases in the number of active Covid cases in 24 hours, he added.
