With 1,994 new cases, the number of COVID-19 cases in India rose to 4,46,42,742, while the number of active cases of infection dropped to 23,432, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.
The number of deaths from the viral disease rose to 5,28,961 with 4 more deaths, according to the ministry’s knowledge updated at 8 a. m. Active instances account for 0. 05% of the overall workload, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98. 76%, the ministry said.
A minimum of 611 cases recorded in the number of active Covid cases in 24 hours, he added.
The daily positivity rate registered 1. 24% and the weekly positivity rate registered 0. 99%, according to the Ministry of Health.
