ATLANTA, GA – The coronavirus pandemic is over, but at least the numbers are moving in the right direction.
Georgia’s Monday afternoon report showed about 1,500 new cases of COVID-19 and 28 deaths in the past 24 hours.Both figures are significantly lower than the peaks of a few weeks ago.
“With hospitalizations at its lowest level since July 6, we are making measurable progress in the fight against COVID-19, but we can’t let it go,” Governor Brian Kemp tweeted On Sunday.”I ask all Georgians to remain vigilant, to use the most productive practices.Together, we will win this fight.”
The day before, Kemp tweeted that the number of hospitalizations of the day, less than 2,000, a 38% drop since a peak last July.
CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS
The Georgia Department of Public Health reported that a total of 270471 showed instances of COVID-19 at 2:50 p.m.Monday According to the Department of Health’s website, these 1,523 new instances have been instantiated in the last 24 hours.

On Monday, Georgia administered more than 2.6 million COVID-19 tests, and about 11% of those tests were the least used to detect antibodies.
For the maximum reliability control of the virus itself, 10.6% of the controls yielded positive results; for less reliable antibody control, 7.7% yielded positive results; the overall positive rate was around 10.3%.
As more and more Georgians have been reviewed over the next month, the percentage of positive controls has increased slightly, from about 8% to more than 10%.However, in recent weeks, the percentage of positives has stabilized by just over 10%.According to the World Health Organization, the effects of positive controls do not exceed 5% for two weeks before reopening as usual.Georgia largely reopened in April and May, and since then Governor Brian Kemp has categorically refused to demand the use of face masks.
