Active coronavirus instances in Singapore have fallen to a minimum of seven months as the government regulates local transmissions.

There were 89 active cases in the city-state, below one hundred for the first time since March 12, the ministry of fitness announced Friday. Earlier this week, Singapore said it had not recorded any new local infections for the first time since February. pointing to an uptick in an epidemic in the dormitories of migrant employees that at one point had contributed to more than a thousand infections per day.
Virus cases in Singapore have remained low thanks to the mandatory use of masks and other social estating measures, while the economy largely reopened in June.
Singapore recorded 28 deaths due to the pandemic, according to the press release.
