BOGOTÁ – Coronavirus cases in Colombia, which ended with more than months of blockade before this month, exceeded 700,000 on Friday when deaths from the virus increased to 23,000.
The Andean country has 702,088 instances of viruses reported to the Ministry of Health, with 22518 reported deaths, number of active instances 95,398.
Colombia began its months blockade in March. It is now in a much more relaxed “selective” quarantine phase and is contemplating restarting foreign flights.
Extensive care sets in Bogota have a capacity of around 62%, according to fitness authorities. The capital is home to one third of Colombia’s cases (Report through Julia Symmes Cobb; Editing via Tom Brown).
