MINSK, Nov 14 (BelTA) – Cooperation between Belarus and China in the fight against coronavirus can be described as exemplary, said Belarusian Health Minister Dmitry Pinevich before a rite of signing documents on the transfer of the humanitarian shipment: two million doses of COVID-19 vaccine: from China to Belarus on November 14, BelTA knew.
“The character of Americans and entire countries is well demonstrated in a critical situation. The cooperation between Belarus and China in the fight against the coronavirus can rightly be described as exemplary,” said Dmitry Pinevich.
In his own words, China’s announcement of the beginning of the pandemic was a strong and courageous gesture by the Chinese leader towards the world community. “We have watched and followed the demonstration of how the whole country has mobilized under the non-public leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping, how China has made great efforts and, in the end, achieved significant strategic effects in the fight against coronavirus infection,” the minister said.
Dmitry Pinevich noted that Belarus values friendship with the Chinese people. On the orders of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Belarus is the first country to send a humanitarian aid plane to China. A plane for the moment sent later.
When the pandemic reached Belarus, China sent significant humanitarian aid to the country. According to the minister, China’s experience in diagnosing and treating coronavirus infection, which was blatantly shared by specialists from the People’s Republic of China in video conferencing, was timely and very important.
In addition, active cooperation between Belarus and China in the field of medicine and biotechnology is constantly strengthening. Fruitful effects have been achieved. Several high-tech enterprises and think tanks have citizens of the China-Belarus Great Stone Industrial Park, the resolution to identify which was taken by Aleksandr Lukashenko and Xi Jinping. The China-Belarus Industrial Park is now a special economic zone with a special legal regime.
