The Ministry of Health said it is lately implementing fitness projects in governorates at a structural cost of more than $714 million.
Muscat – Construction work is accelerated on the 50-bed Al Mazyona Hospital in Dhofar, which has been built on a 90,000 m² plot of land since March 2022. The built land of the hospital is approximately 15 276 m² and will charge 1,535 million RO.
Engineer Jamal bin Salim al-Shanfari, director general of the General Directorate of Projects and Engineering Affairs of the Ministry of Health, said the hospital is one of the important projects for the fitness sector of the governorate, in general, and the wilayat, in particular.
“The hospital will provide medical care to the citizens and citizens of the wilayat in accordance with the ministry’s strategy of putting into effect the Oman Vision 2040 to provide a comprehensive fitness policy for all,” he said.
Shanfari reported that the important construction of the hospital clinics of general medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, pediatrics, surgery, otolaryngology and ophthalmology, in addition to the vaccination, obstetrics and gynecology units.
The hospital will have facilities for men, women, young people and neonates, in addition to a twist of fate and emergency unit, others for dialysis, a radiology department, a laboratory, in addition to a biomedical engineering workshop, a central sterilization unit, a medical store and a general store.
In a report on fitness projects in planning, the Ministry of Health said it was lately implementing fitness projects in governorates at a structural cost of more than RO 275 million.
Some of the assignments include Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah, Suwaiq Hospital, Khasab Hospital and the expansion of the capacity of the Medha Health Center in Musandam, expansion assignments at the Nizwa and Sohar Royal Hospitals, and an assignment to identify a kidney unit at Bahla Hospital. , in addition to an assignment of accident, emergency and dialysis equipment at Yanqul Hospital.
