Twitter will no longer maintain its policy against misinformation about covid-19, raising fears among public fitness experts that the update could have serious consequences if it discourages vaccination and other efforts to combat the virus that is still spreading.
Eagle-eyed users replaced it Monday night, noting that a one-sentence update had been made in Twitter’s online rules: “As of November 23, 2022, Twitter no longer enforces COVID-19’s misleading data policy.
On Tuesday, some Twitter accounts were the new limits and celebrated the platform’s hands-off approach, which comes after Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter.
