CASA Middlesex County is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for the wishes of young people living in foster care, defending those youth through the paintings of trained volunteers who are assigned to a child or sibling organization.

 

 

 

 

The Metuchen Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m. until the Saturday before Thanksgiving, at the intersection of Pearl and New streets.

 

The Woodbridge Farmers’ Market is held nine years a. m. to 1 p. m. in the parking lot of City Hall, 1 Main Street, the summer. There will be weekly wonder vendors, occasions and entertainment.

The Monroe Township Farmers Market is open weekly through Thursday, Sept. 15. The market, which is located in the parking lot of the Monroe Township Public Library, four municipal plazas, will operate on Thursdays from 2 p. m. at 7 p. m.

The carnival is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 5:00 p. m. m. a 11:00 p. m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p. m. to 11:00 p. m. m. at the Mall, 755 State Route 18, East Brunswick.

The carnival will take advantage of the L. E. A. D. program, which provides “on the street” and “in class” to bring law enforcement and communities together in East Brunswick.

The Middlesex County Institute of the Arts presents, promotes and supports a multitude of arts and cultural events, exhibitions and performances during the month of July.

 

The Barron Arts Center will offer Dolores Stewart: The Dramatization of American Culture through August 12. The exhibition of the series began on July 1. It is a component of “Alternative Dimensions: Exploring the Unique Perspectives of New Jersey Sculptors. “

Spotswood Recreation organizes a summer camp for young people (artistic and craft activities) between nine years. m. and noon. Camp began July 11 and will continue through Aug. five at Memorial Middle School for youth ages five to 11.

The cost is $50 per week for Spotswood/Helmetta residents. For non-residents, the cost is $60 per week.

The Eastern Brunswick Public Library and the Korean Culture and Spirit Promotion Project (KSCPP) partner to launch the “Korean Alphabet: Hangul, the Alphabet of Compassion” program on July 25 at 7 p. m. m. in the library, 2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive.

The program teaches the Korean alphabet and how to recognize the characters that compose it. Most importantly, the program explains the creation of hangul and its creator, King Sejong the Great.
